In Daitoshi you help build a city full of progress, while hoping the legends about the Y\u014dkai are just stories. On your turn you move your magnate to a new district. There you put workers to work, use the forests and rivers to feed your steam engines, and take actions that make you bigger and more powerful. You expand the city, bring electricity to the districts and trade with far-off cities. You might even help with the giant building project: the mega machine. And if you drain nature, you had better plant a tree to cover your tracks. Daitoshi is a meaty game for fans who love depth. You play it with 1 to 4 people and you will easily spend two hours together at the table. Every choice counts, and the tension between progress and preservation makes every game different.
