London, 1851. The very first World Exhibition is about to begin and you represent a country that wants to make an impression. With eye-catching inventions and the support of famous and powerful people, you try to amaze everyone. In Crystal Palace you dive into the inventive mood of the Victorian era, where odd contraptions and grand plans go hand in hand. This is a game in which you decide yourself how strong your dice are at the start of each round. The higher the number, the better, but there is always a price to pay. You place your dice on eight spots around the city, from the Patent Office to the Bank of England, and compete for the best resources, patents and bright minds. Along the way you meet figures such as Phileas Fogg and Levi Strauss, and you build inventions you will not find anywhere else. Because the setup is different every time, no two games play the same. You have to think ahead, manage your money well and stay one step ahead of your opponents. A meaty game for players who love deep choices and long evenings at the table.
