Step back in time to the American Revolutionary War. In Commands & Colors Tricorne: The American Revolution you face each other on the battlefield, with cards that set your armies in motion and dice that settle the fighting quickly. The game builds on the well-known Commands & Colors system, so you will pick up the rules in no time. Even so, there are plenty of new ideas to surprise seasoned players. What makes this game special is the emphasis on morale. Unlike many other war games, you do not simply lose whole units here. A group of soldiers that has taken only a few hits can still panic and flee the battlefield. That keeps you on your toes until the very last moment. The scale changes per scenario: sometimes a unit stands for a whole brigade, sometimes for a handful of soldiers. That way you can replay both large battles and smaller skirmishes. The booklet contains twelve famous battles, from Bunker Hill to Cowpens and Guilford Courthouse. Every map shows the terrain and the troop set-up as it really was. The British and the Continentals each have their own set of cards, which brings their different ways of fighting nicely to life. A game to dive into together for hours.
