Castle Dukes

As a duke you have only one goal: to build the most beautiful castle in the whole land. But watch out, because you are not the only one with that dream. All around you other dukes are working on their own strongholds, and they want exactly what you want. In Castle Dukes you build upwards stone by stone, and you decide which direction to take. Do you go for comfort, for solid defence, or for attack? Every choice gives your castle its own character. Each round you start with five coins. With them you buy rooms, floor tiles, pillars and other parts that you place on your castle right away. That is how your building grows layer by layer into a real fortress with its own special shape and height. Guests come by as well. The princess always goes to the most comfortable castle, the king looks for the safest spot, and the knight wants glory and hunts dragons. Whoever attracts the most important residents and builds the most magnificent castle may call themselves Grand Duke. But there is a catch. This is also a dexterity game. If a part falls over while you are building, or part of your tower collapses, you get a collapse token that costs you points at the end. And then there is the dragon, which now and then shows up to attack all the castles. How good your defence is decides whether your building stays standing or falls to ruin. Castle Dukes is played in 3D and looks wonderful on the table.
