Do you play your cards into your own base for points, or hand them to the capital to use their powers? That is the question you have to ask yourself again and again in Capital Lux 2: Generations. This standalone follow-up to the much loved tactical card game from 2016 challenges you to think hard about every move. And the best part: you play it together, while everyone at the table tries to make their own plan work. At the heart of the game sits an exciting dilemma. At the end of a round, no colour in your base may have a higher value than that colour has in the capital. Go over it? Then you lose those cards. After the third round, every card still in your base counts for points. So it is a real balancing act, and you always have to keep the powers that are in play in mind. What makes this game so special are the interchangeable powers of the capital. You mix them exactly as you like, which leads to no fewer than 256 different combinations. One of them plays like the original Capital Lux, the other 255 each bring a fresh challenge. That way every evening at the table feels different again.
