Backstories Alone Under the Ice

Your brother has disappeared. The only clue you have is a letter he sent you from Mont Blanc. In it he writes about his research and about a Nazi treasure that has been missing for fifty years. And so here you are, on the roof of Europe, ready to find out what happened. In Backstories Alone Under the Ice you step into the shoes of Sophie and go looking for your brother Jean. Playing feels a bit like a point & click adventure, but with cards on the table. Panorama cards show where you are. Other cards have holes in them and show what you can do: talk, search, use items. You place such a card on the back of the panorama, flip the whole thing over and read what happens. Simple to learn, but so tense. Pay close attention, because every choice you make has real consequences. You play alone or together with up to six people, puzzling your way through this story together.
