Step back in time and fight exciting battles from the Second World War. Airfix Battles Introductory Wargame is made for anyone who has always wanted to play a real tactical battle game but did not know where to start. You open the box, punch out the cardboard counters and in no time your armies are lined up at the edge of the battlefield. How you play is up to you. Draw cards at random from your army deck for a surprising fight, or build your own force exactly the way you want it. The mission book takes you through setting up each battle step by step, so you never get stuck. During play every player holds a handful of command cards. Use them to move your soldiers and fight, or call in air strikes and artillery to turn the tide. Ready for more? Later on you can replace the cardboard counters with real Airfix models of military vehicles. That way your battlefield grows along with your fun. You can play a mission on your own too, but with friends around the table every battle becomes truly unforgettable.
