Æterna

In Æterna you step into the shoes of a Roman family that wants to make a name for itself across the centuries. You start in the era of the Roman kingdom, continue through the republic and end in the great empire. In each period you try to increase your influence on the city and earn your family a place in the history books. You support the conquest of new territories, rule over the seven hills of Rome and help build temples and other buildings. But watch out: you have to keep the people on your hills happy. Unrest among the people gives you a bad image, and that can set you back quite a bit. Whoever manages their cards, resources and power better than their opponents comes out on top. Æterna is a game for two to four players who like a challenge and some depth. Count on about two hours in which you compete for the finest position in ancient Rome. Every game feels like a new chapter from Roman history, with your family in the leading role.
