Every year during the Day of the Dead, the souls of the departed come back to celebrate with their loved ones. There is dancing, singing, drinking and feasting! But before everyone returns to their own world, a bet is made. The group that gets back first gets to boss the other around for a whole year. And so the race begins... In ¡Adiós Calavera! two players face off: one plays the living, the other the dead. Each has eight pieces standing along the edge of the board. You do not sit directly opposite each other, but at an angle, which makes every game surprising and exciting. Whoever gets all their pieces to the other side first wins the race. The clever part is how you move. A piece may take as many steps as there are pieces in its row, both yours and your opponent's. That means you always have to think carefully and look ahead. Some pieces also have their own powers, such as slipping through obstacles or swapping places. In about half an hour you share a tactical battle in which nothing is certain until the very last move.
