Rome, March 44 BC. Julius Caesar has just been murdered and power is up for grabs. In 44 BCE you step into the shoes of a great name from history: Agrippa, Brutus, Cleopatra, Mark Antony or Octavian. There is no clear leader any more, and everyone wants to fill that gap. Do you dare reach for the throne? This is a game full of tension, drama and betrayal. Each year the Senate grants the Imperium Maius to the most powerful player. To get that far you have to forge plans, conspire and plant a dagger in someone's back at just the right moment. After six rounds, the player with the most power is crowned the very first emperor of Rome. The road there is full of sly moves and surprising twists. The Emperor Edition makes the experience even richer. You get figures for every player, a separate miniature for the Imperium Maius and even metal denarii you can feel in your hand. With two to five players and an evening of political tension ahead, this is a game you will want to bring to the table again and again, each time with a different approach.
