Wordsy

Wordsy is all about that one flash of inspiration. Eight letters lie on the table, all consonants, and you get to build a word from them. You add the vowels yourself, exactly where you need them. The first player to write down a word flips the hourglass. From that moment on, everyone else has thirty seconds to get their own word on paper. Here, speed and the right choice go hand in hand. The letters on the board score points, depending on where they sit and how rare they are. A longer word is not always the best word. Sometimes you score more with a shorter word full of valuable letters. Were you slower than the fastest player, but came up with a better word? Then you get a small bonus. That keeps things exciting, whether you play fast or take your time. After seven rounds you add up your five best words, plus all the bonuses you picked up along the way. The player with the most points wins. Wordsy plays quickly, is explained in no time and works with two to six players. You can even take on the challenge on your own. Perfect for a short, surprising game in between.
