Ultimatch

Climbing the pyramid together is what Ultimatch is all about. You work as a team to match cards by colour or number. Do you use one card or two? Do you add or subtract? And do you mix colours, so that yellow plus blue becomes green? Every choice counts, and every successful match feels like a little party. Make a perfect match on both colour and number and you score a real Ultimatch. The game is full of decision moments that experienced card players appreciate. Some cards lie face up, others you keep to yourself. Do you play a card right away, or save it for a better moment? And do you dare to secretly swap a card with a fellow player? You are never quite sure what the other person needs, so a bit of judgement and a bit of luck are part of the deal. That keeps everyone involved, from the first turn to the last. Turns move along nicely, and so does the thinking behind them. In about twenty minutes you play a tough little game that asks you to pay attention to each other. Win or lose, you will want to play again almost straight away. Suitable for one to five players aged ten and up, and ideal for anyone who loves puzzling together and winning together.
