In Twilight Imperium Fourth Edition, you take command of one of seventeen unique civilizations to fight for interstellar supremacy through warfare, trade, precarious alliances and political domination. Each faction offers a completely different play experience, from the wormhole-jumping Ghosts of Creuss to the Emirates of Hacan, masters of trade and economics.

About the game

Twilight Imperium Fourth Edition is an epic board game of galactic conquest for three to six players. No two games are ever the same - at the beginning of each galactic era, the game board is uniquely and strategically constructed with 51 star system tiles that contain everything from lush new planets to supernovas, from asteroid fields to gravity cracks.

A round begins with players choosing one of eight strategy cards. These cards determine both the order of play and special abilities in ship movement, trade, technology and more. Then players explore the galaxy, claim new planets, wage war and activate their strategy cards.

Your fleet consists of several ships, including:

• Carriers to transport your infantry
• Cruisers to explore new systems
• Dreadnoughts for heavy firepower
• Destroyers to take out enemy fighters
• PDS units to defend your systems
• The mighty War Sun with unmatched destructive power

In addition, each faction has a unique flagship that synergizes with their unique abilities!

A round ends when all players have passed. In the status phase, players can claim public and secret objectives that earn victory points. The first player to earn ten victory points wins the game!

When a player controls Mecatol Rex in the center of the galaxy, players participate in the agenda phase. The Speaker draws a card from the agenda deck and calls for a vote that will change the course of the game. Players vote with the influence values of their planets - the choice with the most votes is passed as law.
