Publisher: FlexIQ
This edition is in English, French, Italian and Dutch. Trixo is a game you can explain in seconds and then play for hours. Players take turns placing a tile in an imaginary three by three grid. Your goal? Make a row of three matching symbols, straight or diagonal. If you manage it, you take those tiles and your pile grows. Sounds simple, and it is. But as you play you notice there is more to it than you thought. What makes Trixo so much fun is that you may also stack tiles on top of each other, up to three high. Suddenly the playing area changes and you have to think in layers. And then there are those three arrow tiles. Once per game you may use one to shift a whole row or column. In a single move that turns the whole board upside down, much to your opponent's surprise. It is exactly those moments that keep everyone at the table on the edge of their seat. With a game lasting a quarter of an hour, Trixo is ideal for in between. A quick game after dinner, or one more before the children go to bed. The rules are so clear that children from seven years old join in right away, while adults try just as hard to win. Whoever collects the most tiles is the boss.
