Tokaido

This is the Dutch-language edition. Welcome, traveller! Before you lies the Tokaido, the old road between Kyoto and Edo. In this game you make a calm journey together past mountains, coastline and rice fields. Along the way you take your time to enjoy yourself: you admire the most beautiful views, relax in a hot spring bath and taste delicious dishes you come across on the road. What makes Tokaido special is that it is not about being fast. It is the traveller who takes their time who collects the most lovely memories. You choose where to stop: with a painter to complete a panorama, at a little shop for a souvenir, or at a surprising encounter that gives your journey a different turn. Every choice counts, but the mood always stays calm and warm. This is a game to enjoy together, without haste or pressure.
