Deep in a distant, deserted corner of space, death may not be the worst thing that can happen to you. A group of astronauts lands on a barren planet, searching for the fate of a ship that vanished long ago. They have just over a day to find out what happened. They soon notice that both the planet and the survivors hide terrible secrets. Secrets that could put all of humanity in danger. The Shadow Planet: The Board Game is a science fiction game full of alien menace. It is based on a beautifully drawn Italian graphic novel and made by the creators of Letters from Whitechapel. The game combines hidden roles with a fresh take on card set building. That way every game plays differently and you pick a new approach each time. Every player draws a secret goal and uses six characters to reach it. Mislead your opponents and steer the game your way by cleverly managing the card stacks. Travel to locations on the planet to grab strong cards or use special powers, but watch out: what you collect, your rivals can use too. Look for allies at the table and unmask the alien threat before it grows too strong. Unless you are the creature that wants to escape. Save humanity, or just save yourself.
