The Red Carpet

The stars are shining on the red carpet! The Academy Awards are being held again and you are right in the middle of it, camera at the ready. As a photographer you want to shoot the best portrait of the most famous faces from Hollywood's golden age. Find a good spot, look for the perfect angle and take the photos that will be on every front page tomorrow. In The Red Carpet you step into the shoes of a photographer who wants to snap the best shots of the stars. They arrive in a limousine and parade down the red carpet towards the ceremony. You move your camera from left to right, play with angles and shout at the celebrities to capture exactly that one moment. Pay close attention: is the star looking straight into the lens, is he at the front of the shot, is there an advert in the background? All those things decide how many points your portrait is worth. You also vote for your favourite nominees, because during the big ceremony the photos of the winners are worth double. Each round you use cards to take actions, such as setting up your tripod in the press zone or letting the guests walk down the carpet. Ordinary people walk among the stars too, so finding the right angle is the real art. After five rounds everyone counts their points and the best photographer of the evening is crowned.
