Tails on Fire

One night Iguana crept out of the village and took the fire with him. He had always longed for it and now he wanted it all to himself. High up near the mountain top he hid it in a cave. When the villagers discovered the fire was gone, they sat in the dark, at a loss. Still, a plan took shape. Opossum set off, tricked Iguana and ran away with his tail on fire. At least, that is how the Huichol people of Mexico tell this story. In Tails on Fire that old tale comes to life at the table. Before each round you look at which fire cards you can win or take from another player. Then you choose three cards to play. If you want to stay in the game, you always have to play a card that is one higher. You may also skip a turn and bluff, putting your opponents on the wrong foot. The most exciting moment comes at the end of the round. The last player plays the Tails on Fire card and snatches up the fire and the valuable points. But do not enjoy it for too long, because in the next round someone else can take the fire right back. Just like Opossum with Iguana, it is all about bluffing, timing and being quicker than your opponents. A quick card game for 2 to 6 players that brings art, story and play together in a beautiful way.
