Switchbacks

Lace up your hiking boots, because in Switchbacks you head into the mountains together. Along the way you lay down pieces of the path, numbered 1 to 37, and now and then you place one of your own tokens on the route. That shows which parts of the trek are yours. The game is all about connected paths. At the end you look at groups of tiles with consecutive numbers that you can follow along a route. Are your tokens on them? Then they score points. Whoever makes the best connections and thinks ahead the furthest collects the most points and wins. A game takes just fifteen minutes, so you can easily play a few rounds in a row. For two to four players and ages 8 and up, it is a great choice for an evening around the table where everyone can join in.
