Welcome to the trading floor of the late twentieth century. In Stockpile you step into the shoes of an investor who hopes to get seriously rich by making the right choices. The rule is simple: buy low, sell high. But nobody knows everything about the market, and that is exactly what makes it exciting. Whoever has the most money at the end wins. Each round you get insider knowledge about how a stock is going to move. Will you trade quickly before the others catch on to what is coming? You buy shares by bidding on piles of cards. Some cards are face up, others are hidden, because every player adds something to the piles. That way nobody knows exactly what is in a pile. And watch out for the costs hiding between the cards, because they can end up being expensive. The big question comes when you sell. Do you hold on to a stock for a nice split, or do you sell now before a company goes bankrupt? Do you wait until the end to become the majority shareholder, or do you need the money right now to keep bidding? Do you put everything into one company or spread your risk?
