Splittissimo

Signora has ordered five eighths with tomatoes again! In Splittissimo you work in a busy Italian pizzeria where the customers prefer to order their pizza by the slice. Your task? Put the right pieces together as fast as you can and make whole pizzas. Without noticing, you become a whizz at fractions along the way. The game looks wonderfully Italian, with round cards full of pizza slices and long cards with orders. The pizzas have cheese and olives on them, plus tomatoes, mushrooms and peppers in all kinds of combinations. Together you look for the slices that match an order or a pizza that is already on the table. Whoever watches both the size and the ingredients gets ahead. Splittissimo grows along with you. With younger children you play with only the round cards and the easier version. If the players are a bit older, you add the order cards and the special cards, which let you slow your opponents down for a moment or step up your own pace. At the end you count the whole pizzas you have made. Fun to do together, and you secretly learn something too.
