Skies Above the Reich

In Skies Above the Reich you climb into the cockpit of a Bf109 and defend Germany against the waves of American bombers that press home their attacks in broad daylight. Ahead of you looms a tight formation of B-17 Flying Fortresses, heavily armed and determined. Your job: tear that formation apart and bring as many pilots home safely as you can for the next mission. The game follows the air war from late 1942 to early 1945, mission after mission, until a whole campaign lies behind you. Every mission is about choices under time pressure. Do you attack from the nose or from the tail? Do you split up your aircraft to strike from several angles, or throw yourself at the bombers in waves? You pick pilots and equipment, from rockets to extra armour, and later in the war you even fly the blisteringly fast Me262. And then there are the escort fighters lurking somewhere nearby. The real challenge lies in the campaign, where you watch your list of pilots slowly shrink. Some grow into experienced aces, others never return. You can play Skies Above the Reich on your own, but you can also take it on together. Each player leads their own squadron and together you attack the formation. You win or lose as a team, but at the end of the campaign only one hero can stand at the top. An exciting and immersive game for anyone who loves depth and atmosphere.
