Seven Dragons

In Seven Dragons each player is secretly given a colour, one of the seven dragons. From that moment on you are quietly hunting for exactly that colour. You start with three cards in hand, and on the table lies the Silver Dragon, which at the start can still be any colour. So the game begins wide open and full of possibilities. On your turn you draw a card and play one. The cards have coloured areas, a bit like dominoes, and they have to match up neatly by colour. Along the way action cards turn up that let you move a card, make one disappear or swap hands with another player. Nice detail: as soon as the first action card lands on the discard pile, it sets the colour of the Silver Dragon. From then on it is no longer free to choose and the game changes again. The first player to connect seven areas in their own dragon's colour wins. Seven Dragons plays quickly and is full of little surprises. A lovely choice for the kitchen table, with children from six years old or simply with friends.
