Seas of Havoc

In Seas of Havoc you step into the shoes of a headstrong captain with a ship of your own. On the rough seas you compete with other captains for glory. You earn it by discovering sunken wrecks and by taking on your rivals in open water. Whoever gathers the most renown wins. The game falls into two parts. During the combat phase at sea you play cards to steer your ship. That way you dodge obstacles, search shipwrecks and fire your cannons at your opponents. The cards can be used in several ways, so you can choose again and again how to approach the fight. Good moves are rewarded with extra bonuses. In the island phase you send out your boats to gather resources, improve your card deck and repair or upgrade your ship. You play with two to five captains, and there is also a variant for solo players. Expect about 75 minutes full of battle, discovery and tough choices.
