Sneaky alliances are formed, plans are cooked up and knives go into backs. In Royals you play your hand in a fight for the crown, getting in your opponents' way just enough. The throne is within reach; you only have to step over others to get there. Royals is a small card game that you pick up in no time, but that you will not want to put down afterwards. The rules are simple. Everyone gets a set of cards and tries to make the right combination with them for as many points as possible. But it is not that easy! Each card can be played in two ways. You lay it down for points, or you use its action to make quick chain moves. That gives you countless ways to play your hand. Your lovely plan can fall apart because of someone else's tricks, and sometimes one bold draw is enough to score big.
