Rook

Rook is a true classic that has been bringing people around the table since 1906. You play with a special deck full of colours and numbers, without the usual hearts or spades symbols. That makes it just a little different from a normal card game, and that is exactly its charm. You take tricks, collect points and try to secure the win together with your partner. It is all about winning tricks, but not every trick counts the same. Certain cards are worth points, and those are the ones you want to grab. Before you start, you bid on the trump colour. If your team wins the bid, you really do have to score the points you promised. That brings tension to every round and creates lovely moments where everyone holds their breath. The game is for two to six players, and with four it is at its best as a partnership game. There are plenty of variants to discover, so you will enjoy it for a long time.
