Rituale des Wahnsinns

Deep in forgotten places, the ancient ritual sites lie waiting. That is where you want to summon the Old Gods and gain as much hidden influence over the world as possible. First you discover the sites, then you gather four followers who call upon the gods for you. The more skilled your followers, the more your power grows. But watch out: along the way you will run into all kinds of nasty events. In Rituale des Wahnsinns every player holds seven cards. On each turn you draw one and play one. Your cards are either followers or events. You all place a card face down at the same time and turn it over together. Every follower matches certain sites and has its own value that decides when you may play it. The order in which the followers appear makes a big difference. As soon as four of them stand at a site, the summoning happens and the owner hands out the points. The tension lies in the placing: you want to put strong followers at your own sites and weak ones at those of others. But the rules and the moves of your fellow players sometimes force you to place a top card with an opponent instead. Everyone starts with one ritual site, and with the right moves you earn more. When the draw pile is empty, the player with the most points wins.
