Reavers of Midgard

In Reavers of Midgard you step aboard a drakkar and set sail to raid across the seas of the Viking world. You attack villages, storm well-guarded castles and fight enemies and monsters on open water. It is all about glory: whoever has collected the most honour after six rounds wins the game. But a voyage does not just start by itself. You gather a rough crew of Vikings, make sure there is enough food to keep them happy, and you also recruit a group of hand-picked warriors: the Reavers. You can use these special fighters in three ways. Make one the leader of your ship for a one-time bonus and more room to manoeuvre in battle. Use them to lure extra fighters on board. Or let your crew specialise, so you are rewarded every time you go to war. Dice decide the outcome of your battles, and along the way you keep building up your engine. Reavers of Midgard is a meaty game for two to four players that keeps you busy for about two hours. Ideal for an evening full of strategy, tension and real Viking spirit at the table.
