Realm of Heroes

The king is dead, and everyone is after his power. Deep in the kingdom armies are on the move, castles are being fortified and war is in the air. The general and the heir to the throne, the rogue and the vizier, the barbarian and the dark ruler: they are all getting ready to take the land by force. Only those who dare will stand firm in Realm of Heroes. Realm of Heroes is a strategy game set in a fantasy world where you build castles and hire heroes to fight for you. But you are not only playing against each other. The board keeps changing, and that can throw even the best plans into chaos. Luck barely plays a role, but because the board keeps changing, whoever is on top can still suddenly come crashing down. First you set up the map, with a scenario or simply at random. Then each player places their leader and a tower on the board. During your turn the plague can spread to nearby spots, and heroes without support die, after which the plague takes their place. Next you strengthen your position by placing or upgrading units. Finally you move your heroes to conquer territory, take out other heroes and capture your opponents' leaders. If you manage that, you win. Do you have what it takes to come out of the battle as the winner?
