Purim

The story of Purim comes from the Book of Esther and is about a young girl and the fate of the Jewish people. The wicked Haman has been defeated, but his ten sons still want to carry out his plan. You are loyal messengers of the king and the queen. Together you must stop the hatred in the kingdom and bring peace to the children of Israel. Purim is a cooperative game in which you stand shoulder to shoulder. As messengers you spread the king's message, shown by golden cubes, to every corner of the kingdom. At the same time, Haman's ten sons try to spread their false messages with black cubes. Each round you secretly choose an action card and reveal it at the same time. The loyal action happens first, then evil follows. In this way you place golden cubes, move messengers or drive off Haman's sons, while evil keeps pressing on. In the end, everything is counted. If the calendar wins the race, or the cubes run out, the game is over. If every province holds at least as much gold as black, you have made it and you celebrate peace. But if there is even one province where evil has the upper hand, you all lose together. A game that calls for discussion and teamwork, and that you experience together in a single session of about an hour.
