From the makers of Knightmare Chess comes Proteus, a dice game that feels a bit like chess but is otherwise something completely new. You play on a normal chessboard, and you each get eight dice. Every side shows a different piece. You start with eight pawns. Each turn you may flip one of your dice to a stronger piece. But watch out: the stronger your pieces become, the more points they are worth to your opponent when they capture them. That makes every choice exciting.
