Step into the shoes of a great composer and work on music that will keep ringing out for centuries. In Ovation you find inspiration, seek wealth and make friends among the nobility. That is how you bring masterpieces to life and build your own legacy. The game slowly grows towards a climax, just like a symphony that keeps getting fuller. Each turn you choose from four actions: seek inspiration, seek fortune, find a patron or perform. Inspiration is your most important resource and comes in three tones: joy, passion and sorrow. With that inspiration you buy cards that make your engine stronger and stronger and give you extra actions. Playing music for an audience earns you points, but watch out: your opponents may come and listen, and they pick up some inspiration themselves. Everyone plays their own composer with a special gift, and only you can write your personal Magnum Opus. Complete goals to earn Maestro cards and bring the game to an end. Would you rather play alone? Then you can work on your masterpiece in complete peace. For two to four players aged ten and up, and done in about an hour.
