This is the Dutch-language edition. It is early 1943. The occupying Nazi forces are becoming ever more dangerous and subject you and your fellow Dutch citizens to growing oppression. They search houses constantly, take away your freedom and send your family, friends and acquaintances to Germany for forced labour. Their fate is unknown, but you fear the worst.
You have had enough! You are determined to do something about this situation and you will resist, whatever the consequences. Even if it means your death, because something has to change.
It is clear that you cannot do this alone. You have looked for others who share your view. Together you form a resistance group and help to liberate the Netherlands.
Nederlands Verzet: Oranje Zal Overwinnen! is a cooperative game with several scenarios about the non-violent Dutch resistance during the Second World War.
In a time when most people were too afraid to oppose the Nazi occupiers, there was a small group of people who could not simply stand by and took action. They formed groups and used all kinds of ways to sabotage the occupier.
You are one of these resistance fighters.
In Nederlands Verzet: Oranje Zal Overwinnen! you play a character who decides to join the resistance during the later years of the war. You try to hinder the occupier as much as possible, to keep his influence as low as you can and to keep yourself, your family and your friends safe. There is one important goal you pursue to win the game: increase the influence of your resistance group by completing missions. Avoid the patrols, make sure you get hold of the right items and keep everyone safe before you are arrested and your resistance group loses the game.
