Modern Art

In Modern Art you step into the exciting world of art dealing. Five artists have made paintings, and you decide what they are worth. One moment you are the seller, putting a canvas under the hammer, the next moment you buy something lovely for your own collection. It is all about having the right feel for value and a bit of nerve. Each turn you put a painting up for auction. Does a fellow player buy it? Then you earn the money. Buy it yourself and you pay the bank. After each round you count which artist sold the most, and those paintings become worth more. The market keeps changing, so you have to watch closely for the right moment to strike. After four rounds, the player with the most money wins. Modern Art is a delightful game to play together around the table, full of bluffing, negotiating and the joy of a good deal. For 3 to 5 players aged 10 and up, with a playing time of about 45 minutes.
