Travel back to the heyday of the Maya, a world full of mighty temples and golden rewards. In Maya you work together to build impressive pyramids in famous cities such as Chichen Itza and Palenque. Of course everyone wants to earn the biggest piece of gold from the Maya leaders, but that is not so easy. You need workers to haul the heavy stones out of the quarry and bring them to the building site. This is a tactical card and building game in which planning and striking at the right moment make all the difference. You keep weighing up where to place your workers and which temple pays you the most. Every choice counts, and that is exactly what makes the tension at the table so tangible. Whoever divides their moves most cleverly ends up with the most gold pieces. Maya is played with three to five players and is suitable from nine years and up. Expect about ninety minutes of building, trading and competing for the favour of the Maya leaders. A game that takes you back to a time of gold, stone and great structures.
