The regiment had already fought countless battles. From Bavaria to Catalonia, from the foot of the pyramids to the streets of New Orleans. And now a completely new enemy stands before you, somewhere far from home. Flags flutter in the wind, rockets hiss through the air and a very different way of waging war appears. Manoeuvre: Distant Lands is a standalone expansion for Manoeuvre. You get four fresh armies to fight with, from the frozen north to the mystical east. Sweden, the divided kingdoms of India, the Chinese 8-Banner army and the last remnants of the Japanese Shogunate all feature. There are also eight new terrain tiles, with swamps, fields and Scandinavian forests that force even experienced players to come up with new tactics. Each army plays differently and has its own strengths and weaknesses. The Swedes fit neatly alongside the familiar European powers, the Indian kingdoms are fast but hard to steer, the Japanese clans fight to the last man and the Chinese horsemen hold their ground against any opponent. For two players, ages 10 and up, and ready for a game of about an hour in which no battle ever feels the same.
