Mandala

In Mandala you collect valuable cards, but here is the exciting part: you only learn late in the game which colours are worth the most to you. Two round mandalas lie on a beautiful linen play mat. You and your opponent take turns placing coloured cards in the shared pile in the middle or in your own field. Bit by bit you build something beautiful, while secretly already thinking about which colours you want to claim later. It all revolves around the colour rule. As soon as a colour is placed somewhere, that same colour may only go in that spot. If your opponent plays red in their field, red is blocked for you. So every choice changes the options for both of you. Once a mandala is complete with all six colours, it is broken down and you divide the cards from the pile. The first colour you take is worth little, later colours more and more. That is exactly where the lovely puzzle moment lies. Mandala is a two-player game you will want to play again right away. The rules are quick to explain, but every game feels different. Perfect for a quiet evening together, working card by card towards the win.
