Lost Cities: Rivals

Pack your bags and get ready for new journeys to faraway places. But watch out: in Lost Cities: Rivals your money is not unlimited. If you want to start the finest expeditions, you first have to bid well. That is because you buy the cards you need at an auction. Do you dare to bid high, or would you rather wait your turn? You collect coloured cards and lay them down in order to form your expeditions. Before you set off, you can play investment cards to make your journey worth more. The excitement is in the auctions: each turn you either flip a card face up or start an auction. Whoever makes the highest bid may choose cards and expand their expeditions. But then your coins are gone, and you will need those later too. With two to four players this is a game full of choices and small bits of teasing. Do you go for the safe profit, or do you gamble on a big score? At the end you count your footsteps, your coins and your completed expeditions. The player with the most points wins. An evening full of travelling, bidding and laughing together about that one decision that just went wrong.
