Lindisfarne

It is 8 June 793. The abbey of Lindisfarne is being plundered, and so begins an age of Viking raids all across Europe. You are the Jarl of your clan and you lead your warriors over the seas in search of treasure and standing. In this game you send your Vikings on great expeditions, spread over three game boards. Whoever manages to secure the best cards comes out on top. Each turn you roll your dice and place your tokens on the boards. That is where the tension lies: the more tokens you put down, the fewer dice you have next time. So you have to think carefully about when to strike and when to wait a little longer. The game lasts six expeditions, and in that time you collect points by completing tasks, conquering lands and building up frescoes. Lindisfarne is all about a lovely mix of planning, luck and a touch of Norse mythology. The seas are unpredictable, and sometimes you need a little help from above to be the first to arrive in the right place. Will you become the Jarl with the most glory, who earns a seat at King Harald's table? The fate of your clan is in your hands.
