This is the Dutch-language edition. The islands of Galecrest are packed with loot. As a sky pirate you join the fight for fame and fortune. You lead your own gang of pirates, sending them one by one to the various islands. Rank and reputation decide whether you walk away with the loot.
In Libertalia you get a number of character cards each round, and you have to play one of them each turn. Every player has the same character cards. The highest character card placed on an island wins the loot. In case of a tie, the player with the best reputation wins. Weaker pirates can still play a tactical role in the night phases, which take place after the island phases.
Libertalia is a tactical game in which you have to pay close attention to what your opponents are planning. After all, you all hold the same cards! This creates an exciting game of cat and mouse. Who plays their character cards the smartest and makes off with the loot?
Libertalia also includes special automa rules for solo players!
