King of Tokyo: Origins

Picture this: four monsters, a city to conquer and you wanting to be the first to lash out with your claws. King of Tokyo: Origins is the perfect way to get to know this series. It is a smaller and cheaper box, made exactly for players who have never rolled a die in Tokyo before. Even so, you miss none of the fun: four new monsters, a pile of new and familiar power cards, energy cubes and green dice are waiting for you. Play is nice and straightforward. You roll six dice and over three turns you may choose which ones to keep and which to reroll. Will you go for points, collect energy, heal your health or attack other monsters? If you are outside Tokyo, you hit the monster in the city. If you are in the city yourself, you deal damage to everyone at once. If you are attacked and your health drops to zero, you are out. With the energy you collect you buy power cards that make your monster even nastier or stronger. Whoever reaches 20 points first, or is the last one standing, becomes the boss of Tokyo. A game full of shouting, cheering and that one roll that can change everything. Ideal for an evening together at the table.
