Kavango

Head out to the wide open nature of southern Africa and become a conservationist. In Kavango you turn your own piece of land into a thriving reserve, where animals find a safe place once again. Over three quick rounds you take your turn simultaneously and choose the cards that best fit your plan. Step by step you build a living ecosystem. As your reserve grows, you carry out research to earn money. You invest that money back into protection and into a home for vulnerable and endangered animal species. The further the game goes, the harder your choices become. At the end, the player with the finest and highest scoring nature reserve wins. A lovely game to explore together and to talk over who makes the right move. Kavango was created by Matt and Zara during their conservation work in Botswana. You can tell: the theme is everywhere. With 160 different animal species cards, 45 research cards, 10 conservationists and 5 landscape boards, every game plays differently. That gives you a fair and recognisable picture of the rich nature of this region. This is the Dutch-language version of Kavango.
