Journey to the Center of the Earth

Deep beneath your feet lies a world no one has ever seen. In Journey to the Center of the Earth you step into the shoes of three brave explorers from the famous book by Jules Verne. Together with professor Lidenbrock, his nephew Axel and their guide Hans, you climb down into a sleeping Icelandic volcano in search of adventure, fossils and fame. Your journey has three parts. First you head deep into the mountain, then you cross a wild underground sea on a raft, and finally an eruption hurls you back to the surface. Along the way you use equipment such as the famous Ruhmkorff lamp to cross chasms, sail past whirlpools and pull the finest finds out of the rocks. Every step costs you something, so you need to think carefully about which cards you play and when to take a moment to recover. At the end everyone counts their treasures. Whoever brings the best collection of fossils to the surface and gathers the most fame points wins the game. It is a journey full of tension, discoveries and the odd serious setback, and one you will gladly take on together at the table.
