Herbaceous

In Herbaceous you grow and collect fresh herbs, trying to gather the prettiest and most valuable collection. Everyone starts with four jars, and each jar asks for a different way of collecting. One wants herbs of the same kind, another prefers a mix, or pairs, or three kinds together. That is how you store your harvest and build something lovely step by step. Each turn you take a herb and make a choice: do you keep it for yourself, or place it on the shared pile that everyone can use? That choice keeps switching and creates a nice bit of tension. Do you want to close a jar now, or wait a little longer for that one herb that completes your collection? Timing makes all the difference here. Herbaceous is calm, warm and surprisingly enjoyable to play together. You play it with two to four people, or happily on your own. A game takes about twenty minutes, just enough for a relaxed moment at the table. From 8 years and up, and explained in no time, after which everyone wants to join in right away.
