Hens

In Hens you take on the role of a chicken breeder. Each round you play a card from your hand onto the table and try to build a peaceful yard with all kinds of different chicken breeds. The rules for placing a card are short and easy to remember. Still, that is exactly where the challenge lies: how do you create big groups of chickens of the same breed? At the end you score points in several ways. Your largest group of chickens of one breed scores points, and so do your rooster token and your goal card. Keep an eye on the rare chickens too, because they earn you medals that count for extra at the end. The breeder with the finest yard wins. A lovely game for at home, with a puzzly feel that makes you want to lay out your cards differently every time. Play it as a pair, with a small group or happily on your own.
