The year is 1482. On the Iberian Peninsula, centuries of Moorish power are coming to an end. In beautiful Granada the last Islamic kingdom holds out, while Isabella of Castile and Ferdinand of Aragon join forces. Ten years of struggle lie ahead: armies gather, castles are reinforced and betrayal is always around the corner. In Granada: Last Stand of the Moors, 1482-1492 the two of you decide together how this piece of history ends. This game for two players takes about four hours. One player leads the Catholic army of Castilians, Aragonese and mercenaries from all over Europe. The other defends the Nasrid kingdom with various clans and reinforcements reaching as far as North Africa. Your units are wooden blocks that show not only their strength, but also where they come from. Each season you get cards to move your armies and fleets or to call up new troops. Want to send a soldier into battle? Then you need the right card. Cavalry, crossbowmen and artillery each play their own role, and at sea you fight for control of ports and strongholds. The rules are quick to learn, but true mastery takes time. As the Catholic player you choose your path: do you build up a huge army, or go for a fast campaign in which every loss hurts? Play the Moorish side and you have a strong central position, but Boabdil's revolt hangs like a shadow over your throne. Every game feels different, and every choice counts. Who will write history at your table this time?
