GIPF

This is the Dutch-language edition. Move by move you push a piece onto the board. You want to get four pieces in a row, because then you take that row off the board and capture your opponent's pieces attached to it. Every time, the board changes completely. What seemed safe a moment ago can turn out the other way round one move later. That keeps the tension between the two of you alive until the very end. The goal is simple to grasp, but hard to achieve. You make rows of at least four pieces, until your opponent has nothing left to play. Along the way you have to think ahead and keep responding to what the other player does. A game takes about an hour and is suitable from nine years and up. GIPF is more than just one game. It is also the basis of a bigger whole, because there are extra pieces and separate games you can combine with it. That way you can keep discovering GIPF endlessly and take on a new challenge against each other every time.
