Fate: Defenders of Grimheim

Freyja, the goddess of fertility from Norse tales, travels to Asgard for a wedding at Thor's. She takes all of Grimheim's seasoned warriors with her. You are not one of them. And that is exactly the moment Loki, the god of trickery, seizes his chance. He wants to destroy Freyja's sacred spring. Monsters come marching towards the village from every side, and you are one of the last defenders still standing. In Fate: Defenders of Grimheim you work together. You play a hero with plenty of talent but little experience. Shoulder to shoulder with your friends, you hold back the trolls, the dead and the fire horde. Every time a monster breaks into the village, a piece of Grimheim is lost. Beat enough enemies and you earn experience to make your hero stronger. Along the way you complete quests that bring you new weapons and gear. The goal is clear: keep Freyja's spring standing until she returns. If you manage that, you all win together. If the whole village falls, the game is lost. You play with one to four players and the tension slowly builds towards a shared last stand. An evening full of choices, teamwork and Norse mythology that you will not forget soon.
