No thick rulebooks you have to read from cover to cover first. You simply learn the rules while playing, through three short practice adventures. That way you are in the story right away. The rules adapt to the players, so young and old can sit at the table together. In the box you will find an introductory book with three learning adventures and a second book with two bigger adventures, each giving about four hours of play.
