Tile by tile you lay a path across the table, and then comes that lovely moment when everything lines up perfectly. Dominoes is a game played on kitchen tables and in gardens all over the world. For generations, people have been pushing the little dotted tiles towards each other, looking for the right match. Simple to learn, and yet different every time. The standard set has 28 tiles, the well-known 'Double Six'. In turn, you add a tile whose number of pips matches an open end on the table. The first player to get rid of all their tiles wins. It sounds easy, but there is more to it than you think. You keep an eye on what the others are doing and sometimes save just that one tile for the right moment. There are countless ways to play Dominoes. From the classic Block game to variants such as Mexican Train, ChickenFoot and the well-known Fives games, where you score points with multiples of five. With two players or with a full table of ten, young and old can join in. A game that brings generations together.
